As a consequence of the terrifying fire that has reduced to ashes some 10,000 hectares of Sierra Bermeja, the media eager to know more information about that mountain range and the consequences of the losses caused by said catastrophe most of the press, radio and national television, have interviewed Professor Alfonso Rubio as a specialist in Geology, Fauna and Flora of Sierra Bermeja.

The professor has been a great “fighter” for a decade, through his conferences and interventions in different media, because this area was included as the Sierra de las Nieves and Sierra Bermeja National Park in order to have a special protection that all national parks have but, against all scientific criteria, politicians have not wanted Sierra Bermeja to be in that National Park.
